The Opportunity
Reporting to the Sales Director, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of grocery customers, driving sales growth, expanding distribution and identifying new commercial opportunities.
This is a highly visible role within a collaborative, entrepreneurial business where you'll have genuine influence on commercial strategy and customer development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of grocery and on-demand retail accounts.
- Deliver sales, profitability and customer contribution targets.
- Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) discussions and annual negotiations with major retailers
- Develop and execute promotional and activation plans.
- Monitor performance, identifying risks and opportunities against budget.
- Own forecasting processes, working closely with supply chain to ensure accuracy.
- Analyse EPOS and shopper data to generate actionable insights.
- Build compelling customer propositions to secure new listings and increased distribution.
- Identify and win new business opportunities within the channel.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain and finance teams.
Requirements
- Experience managing UK grocery (top 7) accounts, ideally within a branded FMCG business.
- Strong commercial acumen and numerical capability.
- Experience with JBP planning, customer negotiations and promotional management.
- A track record of delivering growth through new listings and increased distribution.
- Strong forecasting and analytical skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
- A hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
