This is a big leadership role of a team of 8. Candidates applying must have significant team leadership experience but can come from either a Grocery Buying, Commercial Sales or Shopper / Trade Marketing background!
We’re looking for a dynamic & strategic Head of Shopper Marketing on a fixed term 6-9 month basis to set the vision for our shopper strategy and elevate our clients presence across UK retail. You’ll shape how the brand shows up in-store, lead a high-performing Shopper Marketing team, and deliver tools and programmes that drive conversion and make them look and perform like the #1 brand at the point of purchase.
Working across national accounts, regional partners and field sales, you’ll oversee end-to-end shopper execution—from insight-driven planning to best-in-class activation. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and Category teams to create shopper-centric solutions that maximise visibility, engagement and purchase intent.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach and develop the Shopper Marketing Team (8, 4 direct reports) building capability and fostering a strengths-based culture.
- Drive the Perfect Store vision: delivering standout POS, distinctive brand assets and consistent visibility across all shopper touchpoints.
- Manage and optimise shopper marketing budgets, providing clear tracking, reporting and forecasting.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment, partnering with commercial teams to deliver strategies rooted in shopper insight and business priorities.
- Strong experience in Shopper, Commercial or Grocery Buying including team leadership and budget management.
- Excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills.
- A strategic, collaborative mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive impactful retail execution.
