A unique opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join a well-established M&E contractor delivering complex big ticket projects across the UK. This role is well suited to an individual with early-stage project management or site-based experience who is keen to accelerate their progression into a full Project Manager position.

Working closely with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of multiple projects. You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team that offers genuine long-term career development and a clearly defined progression pathway. You’ll do all of this whilst gaining valuable niche M&E expertise which will propel your earnings ahead of other construction / Civils peers.

Role Overview
  • Support the planning, organisation, and delivery of M&E projects from inception to completion
  • Assist with project programmes, documentation, procurement, and progress reporting
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication
  • Support the preparation of RAMS, variations, project costings, and tender documentation. CDM experience is a plus.
  • Attend site visits, carry out inspections, and assist with the management of subcontractors and site supervisors
  • Help manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring quality, programme, and budget targets are met
  • Assist in resolving site-based issues and promote a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in a construction or project coordination role (e.g. Assistant Project Manager, Trainee PM, Site Supervisor, Technical Coordinator)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with site teams and stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence – this role will involve a lot of travel and face time on site.
  • Strong ambition to progress into a Project Manager role
