We are partnering with a highly respected, multi-disciplined engineering solutions provider to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This company is renowned for delivering robust turnkey lifting solutions.

Joining the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and efficiency. The role provides technical leadership, mentors junior engineers, and supports strategic decision-making to drive innovation and successful project outcomes.

Key Requirements
  • Knowledge: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and regulatory requirements is essential.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in mechanical design and engineering within a relevant industry.
  • Chartership: Ability to pass SC clearance.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills.
  • Capabilities: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, alongside strong organisational and project management capabilities.
  • Communication: Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to support client interactions and cross-functional collaboration.
The Role
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through to production.
  • Take ownership of complex engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Interpret engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into detailed technical drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards, regulations, and company procedures.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct engineering analysis, simulations, and validation activities.
  • Identify and implement design improvements to optimise performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Manage risk assessments, design reviews, and failure mode analysis (e.g., FMEA).
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management.
  • Support client interactions, technical presentations, and project reviews where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
