Project Manager – MEP & Fit-Out Schemes Birmingham-based (or commutable from the West Midlands region)
Permanent Role – Leading Complex Projects from Preconstruction to Handover
We’re working with a fast-growing, highly regarded contractor with historic national roots delivering complex, technically demanding projects across the UK. This role will be looking after projects in and around the Midlands.
We are looking for a Mechanically biased PM with experience working on projects ranging from £100k to £2.5m. Clients vary from health, education to blue light to train stations to high spec residential and commercial.
Experience with JCT contracts is required; familiarity with NEC or P22 contracts is a plus. Ability to manage projects independently, without reliance on large support departments (e.g., purchasing, planning).
We are ideally looking for PMs with mechanical and fit-out experience. You may have guessed that this company is not a large multi-national main contractor – i.e. there aren’t teams of people waiting on hand and foot to do aspects of your role. However, the benefits of working for a medium sized business instead is the ability to get things done and move up quickly.
We are happy to consider Junior PMs who feel like their growth has been stunted where they are. We all have to start somewhere but it can be hard to shake the image people have of you – especially if this is somewhere you have trained. Why not get a fresh start somewhere you’ll be trusted to do what you say you can do?
The key thing we are looking for is unrelenting ambition. The type where you can see clearly that you’re not going to go very far at a large main contractor where everything is defined with limits on what you can do. If you are someone that can work out challenges to get things done then we are precisely the opportunity to take you right to the top.
Reporting into the Contracts Manager and working with internal and external stakeholders you’ll deliver projects from start to finish. If you’re ready to step transform how your move forward in your career and play a key role in shaping how these projects move forward, we’d love to hear from you.
