Role Objective
The Spa Supervisor is a vital ambassador of the Champneys brand. Our spa operation is central to what we do, and this role ensures our standards of service, presentation, and professionalism are consistently exceeded. You’ll lead by example, supporting both the spa and front-of-house teams, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. This role blends hands-on spa expertise with reception duties, making you the first point of contact for our guests.

Responsibilities
Spa Operations & Standards
- Conduct daily uniform and presentation checks for all spa staff.
- Oversee treatment quality, ensuring adherence to SOPs, treatment times, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor daily treatment and retail revenue, communicating results to the team.
- Work with Elemis and Clarins Account Managers to maximise retail sales opportunities.
- Maintain an organised stock management system for treatment and retail products.
- Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, trade testing, and onboarding of therapists.
- Create and manage therapist rotas for optimum efficiency.
- Support the development of apprentices and junior therapists.
- Deliver treatments to the highest standards when required.
- Work closely with the in-house trainer and Spa Manager to meet KPIs.
- Assess team performance and identify training needs in treatments, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Ensure therapists follow brand-approved talk lines and demonstrations during tours.
Front of House & Guest Experience
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests and visitors.
- Assist with reception duties, including check-ins, bookings, and guest enquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and brand-reflective reception area.
- Act as the first point of contact for guest feedback, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the reception team to maximise revenue and upsell services.
Health & Safety
- Ensure all staff are trained in fire safety, health & safety, and safe equipment use.
- Monitor hazardous substances and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain a stocked and up-to-date departmental first aid kit.
- Confirm that all treatments are only performed by qualified and trained team members.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of treatments, products, and ability to tailor services to client needs.
- Knowledge of team skills to allocate work effectively.
- Clear understanding of Fire, Health, and Safety procedures.
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
- Ability to inspire a team while maintaining operational excellence.
