As the company continues to expand its translational research capabilities, they are seeking a Senior / Principal Scientist Ex Vivo Perfusion to establish and lead a human organ normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) programme. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing a cutting-edge ex vivo platform, generating critical data that will support the advancement of novel gene therapy programmes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of human and large animal organ perfusion studies.
- Develop and optimise normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) protocols.
- Manage organ preparation, cannulation, perfusion, sampling and data generation.
- Collaborate closely with internal scientists and external clinical partners.
- Design experimental strategies and interpret translational research data.
- Build relationships with organ procurement and clinical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior scientists as the programme grows.
