Talentmark are recruiting for a Laboratory Technicianto join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis for 6 months, with high likelihood of being extended further. This role is site based in Reading, Berkshire.

Salary:

£13.35 per hour, 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm with a 45 minute lunch break.

Laboratory Technician Role:

  • Prepare for laboratory tasks using appropriate scientific techniques, procedures and methods.
  • Use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform lab tasks, and operate basic lab equipment.
  • Use the LIMS system to record information.
  • Analyse, interpret and evaluate data from lab work.
  • Keep an organised and accurate record of lab work carried out.
  • Calibrate lab equipment as required.

Your Background:

  • Educated up to A-Level/HNC/BTEC level in a Science.
  • Laboratory experience would be advantageous.
  • Meticulous and organised, with strong attention to detail.
  • A strong team player.
  • Good knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office software.
  • Good understanding of lab equipment.
  • Passionate about food!

It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
