Talentmark is recruiting for a QC Scientist to join a growing bioscience organization operating within a GMP-regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical scientist with experience in chromatographic techniques to play a key role in quality control testing, supporting the manufacture and processing of high-quality, plant-derived active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of plant-derived molecules in accordance with approved SOPs.
- Prepare working solutions, mobile phases, standards, and laboratory reagents.
- Maintain accurate GMP-compliant documentation and ensure data integrity requirements are met.
- Carry out routine maintenance, calibration, and verification of laboratory instrumentation, including GC-MS and HPLC-UV systems.
- Manage laboratory stock levels and consumables to support uninterrupted testing activities.
- Support internal audits and regulatory inspections where required.
- Participate in data review activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with QA, Production, and other cross-functional teams.
Your Background
- Degree-qualified in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or possess equivalent laboratory experience.
- Experience working within a regulated laboratory environment, ideally GMP.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC and/or GC-MS.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety practices, including COSHH, risk assessments, and PPE requirements.
- It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
