Talentmark are recruiting for a Development Technician, on behalf of a longstanding international leading household plastic manufacturing company. This is a full time, permanent position, 35.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5pm, Friday: 9am - 3pm, based at their site in Cramlington, Northumberland. Salary ranges from £29,000 to £35,000 per annum.
Your main duties will be:
- Lamination of exterior films using hot-melt adhesives and primers.
- Carrying out various material testing.
- Evaluating and analysing pigments and developing pigment formulations.
- Assisting with New Product Development and trials.
- Using accelerated weathering cabinets to test samples in simulated conditions.
Candidate requirements - skills and experience:
- Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or Polymer Science (essential).
- Knowledge of Colour Chemistry/Pigment Technology (desirable).
- Experience of working in a laboratory environment (desirable).
- Must have a full UK Driving Licence, be able to drive and have access to a car (essential).
- A clear communicator and self motivated.
