Talentmark are currently recruiting for a Control Systems Design Engineer for an organisation based in Maldon, Essex, on a permanent basis.

Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

The Role: This position will focus on the design and development of ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems to meet customer and product requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement control algorithms (PID and advanced control strategies) for precise temperature regulation and system stability.
  • Apply numerical modeling and simulation techniques to predict system behaviour.
  • Integrate control systems with sensors, actuators, and refrigeration hardware.
  • Research and propose innovative solutions to improve performance, cost, and sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.

Your Background:

  • Degree in Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in control systems design, with a focus on PID control and system dynamics.
  • Proven experience in modeling and simulation (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools).
  • Experience developing and implementing control software.
  • Solid understanding of system integration, sensors, and actuators.
