Talentmark are recruiting for a Chemistry Project Lead to join a Pharmaceutical Services Company in Central Belt Scotland. This is a permanent role with Mon-Fri daytime working hours and is site-based.
The Role: This is an exciting hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee scientific projects, mentor technical staff, and work with cutting-edge methods in a cGMP environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee analysis of test materials, preparation of reports, and certificates of analysis for clients and be responsible for planning and oversight of all aspects of method development and validation when required.
- Lead, direct, and coordinate scientific projects to meet quality, regulatory, cost, and timeline requirements and support and collaborate with the Operational Leadership team.
- Plan and deliver sample analysis in compliance with cGMP and co-ordinate new and ongoing stability studies.
- Oversee method development and validation activities and produce and approve working protocols for analytical projects.
- Undertake root cause analysis and define CAPA actions and ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and company Quality System.
- Lead client meetings, provide updates to leadership and clients.
- Perform peer review of analytical data.
- Develop and deliver scientific training for laboratory personnel.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to laboratory personnel.
- Responsibility as an authorised signatory to release analytical data to clients.
- Prepare Risk and COSHH assessments.
Your Background:
- Educated to degree level in Chemistry or a related field.
- Strong Analytical Chemistry laboratory skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience of Leading Analytical projects and client relationships.
- Knowledge/experience of chromatography techniques (HPLC/GC), Waters Empower or equivalent CDS experience or compendial testing.
- Experience of working to cGMP.
- Knowledge of QPulse QMS would be beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and documentation skills.
