Talentmark is recruiting for an IT Product Owner to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry based in Basingstoke on a contract basis for 6 months.
Salary: Paying between £21.67 and £28.89 per hour PAYE.
IT Product Owner role:
- Assist in the delivery of new digital products or services that address business problems or opportunities.
- Help modify or configure existing systems to meet evolving business requirements.
- Contribute to requirements definition, analysis, and design activities following the full end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle.
- Assist in translating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria within requirements management tooling (Jira), supporting sprint planning and backlog grooming.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews) as an engaged team member.
- Facilitate effective communication between technology and business stakeholders, supporting the resolution of day-to-day queries.
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information, Business Technology, or a related field (recent graduates or those completing their degree are encouraged to apply).
- Demonstrable experience of agile product development, using IT service management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with agile frameworks and tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Exposure to or curiosity about AI, automation, and digital innovation.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps) is advantageous.
- A growth mindset with a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
