Research & Development Chemist (Permanent) in Corby

Talentmark are recruiting for a Development Chemist to join a well-reputed adhesives manufacturing company based in the Midlands on a full time, permanent basis, for a salary ranging from £40,000 - £50,000 per annum. Working hours will be Monday - Friday, 8.30 am - 4.30 pm, 37.5 hours per week (with 30 minute unpaid lunch break daily). Our client is a long established and highly successful manufacturer of adhesive chemicals, part of a larger group. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Development Chemist to join their team. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Development Chemist’s primary function is to develop new and innovative products to customer and market requirements. The Development Chemist will be based at the company's site near Kettering, easily commutable by road from Peterborough, Northampton, Leicester and surrounding areas. Development Chemist Role: Formulate a variety of adhesive types including water based and hotmelt. • Plan and manage development activities according to the requirements of the technical department and associated quality system. • Ensure effective communication with internal teams – Commercial, Operations and Procurement. • Coordinate with external test laboratories and equipment suppliers to maintain test equipment and complete non-standard test methods. • Provide support and advice to customers and colleagues to ensure compliance with chemical and environmental regulations.
