Talentmark are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a rapidly growing organisation within the life sciences and clinical trials sector at their site based in Burton on a full time, permanent basis. The role will be hybrid-based, with 2 days a week in the office, for a salary of £30,000 per annum.

The Company: Our client are a Pharmaceutical Services company who work on supplying and sourcing medicines for clinical trials; they have a global presence and are headquartered in Burton-upon-Trent.

Location: The Logistics Coordinator will be based at the company's site in Burton-upon-Trent, easily commutable from Derby, Lichfield, Uttoxeter, Walsall, Nottingham and Stoke.

Logistics Coordinator Role: Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role will involve managing paperwork, warehouse deliveries and shipment arrangements, ensuring work is carried out strictly according to Good Distribution Practice.

Your main duties will include:

  • Arranging inbound shipments for supplier and warehouse requirements.
  • Generation of documentation and management of inbound activities.
  • Working to warehouse SOPs to schedule, arrange and manage inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Ensuring effective stock inventory management.
  • Monitoring shipments and escalating delays as required.
  • Supporting with QA, DSCSA and FMD activities.

Your Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

  • 1-2 years' prior experience within the healthcare/pharmaceutical logistics sector, with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) exposure.
  • Commercial awareness is required.
  • Excellent and clear communication skills at all seniority levels.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritising within a fast-moving environment.
  • Entitlement to work in the UK is essential.
