Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior IT Product Owner to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry based in Basingstoke on a contract basis for 6 months. Salary Paying between £28.95 and £38.60 per hour PAYE.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery and evolution of new digital products or services that address business problems or opportunities.
- Define, refine, and prioritise product requirements, translating business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and roadmap priorities.
- Partner closely with business leaders, technical teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to shape product direction, align priorities, and manage trade‑offs.
- Provide product leadership for incidents, enhancements, and change requests, ensuring issues are prioritised and resolved in line with business impact and service expectations.
- Provide clear reporting on product status, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify opportunities to enhance products and ways of working through AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information, Business Technology, or a related field (recent graduates or those completing their degree are encouraged to apply).
- Demonstrable experience of product ownership, digital product management, business analysis within an agile environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Familiarity with agile product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps) is advantageous.
Location: This role is based at our client's site in Basingstoke 3 days per week, and 2 days remote.
Please note: It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK. This role may be subject to a satisfactory basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
