Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Automation OT Technician to join the Automation team in Switzerland. The successful candidate will provide technical support for Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT components of the PCS system, ensuring compliance with GMP and site standards. This role involves working in a highly regulated industrial environment and requires strong coordination, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for existing OT infrastructure.
- Support cybersecurity and IT aspects of PCS / Automation systems.
- Perform patching activities (Windows & applications) including testing and validation.
- Manage data layers and communication systems (OPC UA).
- Prepare and review functional and design specifications.
- Coordinate with IT, Engineering, Validation, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
- Participate in change control, validation, and documentation processes.
- Support audits and compliance activities.
- Deliver occasional training and administrative support.
Approximate workload: 90% IT / OT technical activities, coordination, investigation. 10% training and administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial IT / Automation OT (CFC, ES Technician, or equivalent).
- 2–3 years experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industry.
- Experience working in GMP environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft systems / Windows environments.
- Fluent French + technical English.
Technical Skills Required:
- OT / Automation infrastructure support.
- Windows patching & application updates.
- OPC UA / data communication layers.
- Functional & design documentation writing.
- Standard IT tools and troubleshooting.
- Change management / validation processes.
Nice to Have (Preferred):
- Cybersecurity experience.
