CK Group are recruiting for a Chemist, to join a multinational manufacturer of coatings and sealant at their site located in Shildon, County Durham, on a 3-month contract initially, however this is likely to extend further. This role is fully site based in Shildon.
Salary: £16.40 per hour PAYE.
Chemist Role:
- Participate in development of new products.
- Provide advice and recommendations to other departments and customers to assist in solving potential problems and queries.
- Engineer/modify existing products to meet customer requirements
- Make decisions regarding adjustment and release of production batches, raw material selection and substitution and modification of internal product specifications
- Meet with suppliers to discuss new materials or problems with existing materials.
- Support quality department in resolution of customer complaints.
Your Background:
- Hold a relevant, scientific degreeor have equivalent working experience.
- Scientific knowledge, particularly inchemistry.
- Ability to formulate coatings/sealants preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills and communication.
