TalentMapper is looking for a values and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our ambitious sales team. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities and driving sales growth. The successful candidate will have strong skills in sales and a proven ability to build relationships close deals and exceed sales targets. You will likely have experience either a similar product or service offering, to the sort of audience that would purchase our solution.

Here’s what you’ll do:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
  • Determine the best approach to new opportunities, in order to build & maintain a qualified pipeline.
  • Provide demos of the platform to prospective customers and create and issue proposals.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement robust sales plans to achieve sales objectives.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts, providing insights to the management team on market trends and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to identify marketing materials and campaigns that support sales growth.
  • Represent TalentMapper at industry events, conferences, and networking events to promote the company and gather market intelligence.
  • Engage decision-makers within target industries to pitch Talent Mapper’s offerings and secure business deals.
  • Manage client needs and work cross-functionally within the company to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Be a subject matter expert on TalentMapper products and services for our clients.
  • Ensure the capture of all key customer data and insights in our CRM tool (Monday.com).

Experience Required
  • Proven track record of success in a business development role, ideally within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and manage partnerships strategically.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex ideas effectively and persuasively.
  • A strong network of professional contacts and an ability to tap into existing networks to generate new business.
