We are seeking a hands-on HR Manager to support the day-to-day delivery of a compliant, consistent and well-run employee experience across a growing retail and e-commerce business. This is an operational HR role focused on the smooth running of people processes across the full employee lifecycle. The position is centred around employee relations, HR administration, compliance and people operations.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident managing employee relations, HR administration and people processes across a multi-site environment (North-West based).
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end administration of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, changes to employment and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate HR systems, employee records and documentation.
- Support employee relations processes in line with employment legislation and company policy.
- Ensure consistency across HR processes, documentation and record keeping.
- Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on day-to-day HR matters.
- Support statutory and regulatory compliance including right-to-work checks, training compliance, safeguarding and policy adherence.
- Maintain audit-ready HR records and documentation.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of HR operations across the business.
- Previous experience in an operational HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role (minimum 2-3 years).
- It would be highly advantageous if you have worked within retail/fashion environment.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations processes.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident managing HR administration and compliance processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within a fast-paced retail, e-commerce or multi-site environment preferred.
- CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
