Main Mission
- Help develop a positive client experience to aid good record keeping, financial and tax management.
- Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Provide seamless support to our qualified accountant, ensuring the smooth running of client accounts.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain the highest standards of financial records and reporting.
- Actively contribute to the growth and development of the practice and its working practices.
Main Tasks
- Maintain client accounts in Xero, including transaction entry, bank reconciliations, and sales/purchase ledger management.
- Prepare VAT Returns for Qualified Accountant Review to assist with accurate and timely submission to HMRC.
- Assist with payroll preparation and processing.
- Liaise with clients for queries and information gathering.
- Support year-end and tax preparation processes as needed.
Key Results and Objectives
- Accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for all assigned clients.
- Timely filing of VAT returns and compliance with HMRC deadlines.
- Efficient and proactive completion of assigned tasks.
- Positive feedback from clients and positive collaboration with the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- AAT Level 3 Qualified and/or actively working towards AAT Level 4.
- Demonstrable proficiency with Xero accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- While experience in a business/corporate environment is beneficial, we value potential, openness to improving working practices and a positive outlook.
Part-time salary for 10 to 15 hours per week: £488 per month up to £799 per month, depending on hours from 10 to 15 per week and your experience.
