About the Role

You will play a leading role in shaping and delivering the digital strategy of a further education provider, working alongside the Head of Digital to drive change across the organisation. In this role you will help set direction, support and develop a team, and make sure digital services run reliably and continue to improve. You will balance day-to-day operational delivery with longer-term planning, keeping the needs of staff and learners at the centre of what you do.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head of Digital in developing and delivering the digital strategy.
  • Leading, supporting and developing members of the digital team.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of digital services and systems.
  • Managing digital projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Working with colleagues across the organisation to understand and meet their needs.
  • Deputising for the Head of Digital where required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in a senior or leadership role within a digital, IT or technology function.
  • Strong understanding of digital systems, services and project delivery.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience working within a further education environment.
