The Dispatch & Warehouse Operative is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods through the warehouse, maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and compliance. The role supports dispatch, transport coordination, pallet control, and daily warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily dispatch and loading operations to maintain smooth outbound workflow
- Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes, ensuring accurate recording and movement of stock
- Maintain pallet control, including tracking, returns, and reconciliation
- Liaise with transport teams and drivers, supporting communication and delivery accuracy
- Apply strong Working Time Directive (WTD) awareness when coordinating driver schedules
- Uphold Health & Safety standards and ensure full compliance with site procedures
- Operate MHE equipment safely, including FLT (Forklift Truck) operations
- Conduct daily safety checks on equipment and operational areas
- Support vehicle compliance checks and scheduling requirements
- Assist with marshalling, yard coordination, and traffic flow management
- Manage parcel dispatch, ensuring timed deliveries are met
- Check drivers in/out and work with the transport office to maintain accurate records
- Support general warehouse duties as required to maintain operational efficiency
