An exciting opportunity to join a leading UK regulated organisation as a Procurement Policy & Governance Lead, supporting the continued development of its Procurement Centre of Excellence.

This is a hands‑on role for an experienced procurement professional who can combine strong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and regulated procurement with practical policy, governance and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, guidance and governance frameworks.
  • Act as a trusted SME on Procurement Act 2023, regulatory compliance and procurement governance.
  • Translate complex legislation into clear, practical guidance for the business.
  • Review procurement processes and identify opportunities to improve compliance, efficiency and user experience.
  • Work closely with Legal, Risk & Controls, Finance, Security and business stakeholders to influence sound procurement decisions.
  • Support procurement systems and digital transformation, including AI-enabled improvements.
  • Coordinate procurement governance forums and regular procurement surgeries, managing actions through to completion.
  • Keep regulatory and procurement guidance up to date and communicate key changes across the organisation.
  • Support the development of new templates, documentation and consistent ways of working across Procurement.

About You

You will bring:

  • Strong procurement experience within a regulated or complex environment.
  • Good practical knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Experience in policy, governance, compliance or assurance.
  • Confidence operating as a senior SME and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with procurement systems, digital transformation or AI would be advantageous.
