Are you a technical self-starter who loves bridging the gap between business needs and streamlined automation? We are looking for a Solutions Developer to join our small, agile technology team. In this role, you won’t just be writing code; you’ll be an architect of efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in evolving our business landscape by promoting automation across the organisation. Using "low-code" platforms, you will transform raw data into sophisticated systems that save time, reduce manual effort, and empower our teams.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Automate & Innovate: Build multi-step workflows using conditional logic and triggers to streamline business processes.
- UI/UX Design: Develop user-friendly, professional interfaces that allow stakeholders to interact with data seamlessly.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for Retool, helping the wider technology team navigate technical challenges.
- Data Transformation: Create and maintain queries to fetch, manipulate, and display data from our modern data warehouse.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Business Analysts and engineers to ensure all applications meet user expectations and undergo rigorous UAT.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be a career Software Engineer, but you must be "technical enough" to build robust solutions within a controlled environment.
- Technical Essentials:
- JavaScript: Strong proficiency, specifically within low-code environments (like Retool).
- SQL & dbt: Experience using dbt and unit testing to validate advanced SQL modeling logic.
- Data Warehousing: Hands-on experience with BigQuery or a similar modern stack.
- Version Control: Comfortable using GitHub for managing your work.
- Agile Mindset: Experience using Jira to manage workloads and prioritise projects effectively.
- Soft Skills:
- Problem Solver: Ability to rapidly understand complex technical concepts and business domains.
- Communicator: Capable of building a network across the business to identify automation opportunities.
- Self-Starter: Proactive in identifying pitfalls in digital delivery and suggesting better ways of working.
