Senior Product Analyst - Equity Derivatives & IPV / Valuations

Location: London / Hybrid

Salary: Competitive + Bonus & Benefits

Role Type: Permanent

Are you an experienced Valuation Control / IPV professional looking to transition your deep equity derivatives knowledge into a dynamic, product-focused role?

On behalf of a fast-growing, market-leading financial technology and pricing services provider, we are seeking a Senior Product Analyst with a strong investment banking background to manage, design, and expand Independent Price Verification (IPV) services across financial asset classes, with a specific focus on Equity Derivatives (including Exotic structures).

The Role

In this key client-facing and product development role, you will act as a subject matter expert bridging the gap between major global investment banks, technology teams, and valuation methodology. You will drive day-to-day service delivery, refine pricing methodologies, and help design next-generation valuation services for complex OTC derivatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery & Pricing Analysis: Oversee automated IPV processes, review consensus data, resolve complex client queries regarding pricing inputs/methodologies, and manage formal price challenges.
  • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with Trading, Desk Quant, and Middle Office/Valuation Control teams across Tier-1 investment banks, leading regular client reviews and technical discussions (occasional international travel required).
  • Product Innovation & Specification: Collaborate with internal software developers to specify, build, and test software enhancements for complex derivative pricing tools.
  • Data & Quality Optimization: Analyze market data trends to continually improve valuation accuracy and consensus data quality.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Monitor global market developments, regulatory updates (Prudential Valuation, FRTB), and accounting standards to ensure pricing services remain cutting-edge and fully compliant.

Requirements

  • Investment Banking Background: Minimum of 3-5 years within a Tier-1 or Tier-2 Investment Bank's Valuation Control Group (VCG), IPV, or Middle Office Risk team.
  • Asset Class Expertise: At least 2 years of direct coverage in Equity Derivatives, with a solid working knowledge of exotic products, structured notes, and complex OTC options alongside flow products.
  • Regulatory & Accounting Depth: Strong understanding of banking regulations, IFRS 13 / Fair Value hierarchy, and Prudential Valuation standards relevant to IPV.
  • Quantitative & Analytical Skills: Comfort working with complex valuation models, Greeks, volatility surfaces, and pricing inputs.
  • Communication: Ability to confidently articulate complex valuation mechanics to desk heads, traders, and senior risk managers.

Desirable Skills

  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Python, VBA, or SQL for data analysis and automation.
  • Languages: Fluency in a second language (French is highly desirable).
  • SDLC Knowledge: Exposure to software development lifecycles or agile product delivery.
