Role Purpose

The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for defining and governing the enterprise-wide data architecture for an Oracle Fusion transformation programme. The role ensures data consistency, integrity, and alignment across Oracle Fusion, legacy platforms, and connected enterprise systems. This role bridges programme delivery and enterprise architecture, providing authoritative guidance on Fusion data models, mappings, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Data Architecture
    • Define and own the enterprise data architecture for the Oracle Fusion programme
    • Establish data architecture principles, standards, and patterns
    • Ensure alignment between Oracle Fusion data models and enterprise data strategy
  • Data Modelling & Mapping
    • Act as the authority on Oracle Fusion data structures
    • Define and maintain the enterprise data dictionary
    • Lead data mapping between:
      • Oracle Fusion and legacy systems
      • Oracle Fusion and CRM platforms
      • Oracle Fusion and asset management platforms
    • Ensure consistent data definitions and usage across systems
  • Governance & Data Quality
    • Support data governance, ownership, and stewardship frameworks
    • Work with delivery teams to address data quality issues
    • Ensure data lineage, traceability, and auditability
    • Provide authoritative input into migration and integration activities
  • Architecture & Programme Engagement
    • Work closely with enterprise architecture, data, integration, and programme teams
    • Act as the senior data authority in design and assurance forums
    • Provide clear, pragmatic guidance to internal teams and third-party partners

Required Experience

Essential

  • Deep expertise in Oracle Fusion data models
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise or Lead Data Architect
  • Strong background in data modelling, mapping, and data governance
  • Experience working across ERP and enterprise application landscapes
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes

  • Experience with CRM and asset management platforms
  • Experience working in phased or multi-wave ERP implementations
