We are seeking a hands-on Technical Delivery Specialist with strong experience in integration delivery, particularly across MuleSoft and Managed File Transfer (MFT) technologies. MFT capability is critical to this role. This is a generalist technical delivery position supporting multiple integration workstreams within a complex IT environment. The role has a strong emphasis on delivery, assurance, and practical technical execution rather than pure architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and build MFT and integration interfaces
  • Work across MuleSoft-based integration solutions
  • Review and validate technical designs produced by third-party vendors
  • Ensure designs align with internal standards and integration architecture principles
  • Execute and support end-to-end testing of integration solutions
  • Build interfaces where required, not solely oversee delivery
  • Provide technical assurance through review and testing activities
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery
  • Contribute to smooth transition and handover of legacy responsibilities (including backfill activity)

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong experience in integration delivery, ideally with MuleSoft
  • Solid hands-on experience of GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions (critical requirement)
  • Proven ability to design, build, and test integration interfaces
  • Experience reviewing technical designs and challenging vendors constructively
  • Strong hands-on technical capability, not just governance or oversight
  • Experience working in complex enterprise IT environments
  • Good understanding of end-to-end system integration lifecycles
  • Ability to operate as a generalist across integration, core IT, and cyber-related domains
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to lead a team
  • Comfortable operating across multiple priorities and integration streams
  • Strong delivery mindset with a balance of technical depth and coordination capability
  • Ability to flex across technical delivery and informal project management responsibilities

How to prepare for a job interview at TalentHawk

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
