Enterprise Architect – Fintech
Location: London, England, United Kingdom
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy for fintech applications and systems.
- Design end‑to‑end solutions ensuring alignment with business requirements, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including business leaders, product managers, developers, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Evaluate emerging fintech technologies, frameworks, and platforms for adoption.
- Provide technical leadership during project lifecycles, from concept through implementation.
- Ensure integration, scalability, and performance of fintech solutions across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including solution blueprints, reference architectures, and design patterns.
- Advise on security, data governance, and regulatory compliance relevant to fintech.
- Mentor and guide technical teams on architecture standards, best practices, and design principles.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT architecture roles, with at least 3–5 years in fintech or financial services.
- Strong experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) and solution design principles.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern fintech technologies (APIs, blockchain, digital payments, microservices, etc.).
- Expertise in integration patterns, APIs, SaaS platforms, and system interoperability.
- Solid understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in financial services (PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR, etc.).
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and drive architecture decisions across business and technical teams.
Preferred
- Experience with digital banking platforms, payment gateways, and fintech innovation.
- Certification in TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or similar enterprise architecture credentials.
- Experience in Agile/DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines.
