Our client is looking for a detail-oriented professional to join their team and help them drive evidence-based decision-making. If you are passionate about data visualisation, governance, and delivering reliable reports, we want to hear from you!
This role is key to supporting business performance and enhancing customer value by ensuring their stakeholders have timely, accurate information. You will work closely with their Lead Data Engineer and BI Developer, leveraging your skills in Power BI and SQL to support their mission.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design and Deliver: Produce standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and summary analyses using Power BI, Excel, and other data visualisation tools.
- Translate Requirements: Convert stakeholder needs into compelling data visualizations and reporting solutions.
- Ensure Accuracy: Validate and reconcile data from various sources, ensuring consistency and adherence to data governance standards, including GDPR and information security compliance.
- Collaborate and Support: Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure data is accurately modelled for reporting, and support the development of KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- Be the Expert: Respond to data and reporting queries, providing business teams with timely access to the information they need.
- Improve Processes: Contribute to the continuous improvement of BI practices, data quality, and reporting documentation.
What You’ll Bring:
- Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated ability to create reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools (like Tableau or Qlik).
- SQL Knowledge: Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to query databases for data extraction and analysis.
- Data Analysis: Experience in analysing and interpreting data to provide meaningful business insights.
- Collaboration: Familiarity with data quality, validation, and governance processes, and experience working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: A Degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent professional experience.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
- Nice-to-Have (Desirable): Power BI certification or equivalent.
