We are working with an FTSE 100 consumer business to appoint a Tax Compliance Manager (Contract) to support the delivery of the UK tax compliance cycle. This is a hands-on role within Group Tax, focused on managing and delivering UK corporate tax compliance across a complex, multi-entity structure.
Responsibilities
- You will work closely with the UK Tax leadership team and take ownership of the compliance process end-to-end.
- Manage the UK corporate tax compliance process across multiple entities.
- Review tax returns and tax accounting prepared by external advisors.
- Provide data and resolve queries with internal finance teams.
- Ensure tax positions are accurately reflected in statutory accounts (including current and deferred tax).
- Support HMRC enquiries and external audit processes.
- Oversee compliance areas such as withholding tax, Senior Accounting Officer requirements, and related obligations.
- Work with internal tax teams (including transfer pricing) to ensure alignment across filings.
- Identify and resolve issues in data, processes, and outputs.
Candidate Requirements
- This role requires someone who can operate with minimal support and deliver from day one.
- Proven experience running UK corporate tax compliance cycles end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of tax accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience reviewing outsourced compliance work and managing external advisors.
- The ability to work at a detailed level, interrogating data and outputs.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Background
- Professional services or industry experience.
- Big 4 or Top 10 training is beneficial but not required.
- Previous contracting experience is advantageous.

- Stockley Park, West London.
- 2 days per week in the office.
- Hybrid working aligned with the wider tax team.
Contract Details
- £550 per day (PAYE).
- Contract running through to January (covering the current compliance cycle).
- Start date: ideally by end of May.
