Overview
We are supporting a large, global organisation undergoing a significant transformation programme, including legal entity integration and structural simplification across multiple jurisdictions. As part of this, they are hiring a UK Tax Compliance Manager to take ownership of UK corporate tax compliance and act as the key UK technical contact within a wider international tax team.
The Role
This is a hands-on UK tax compliance role with responsibility across multiple group entities. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing UK corporation tax compliance across the group
- Reviewing and challenging work prepared by external advisors
- Owning UK tax reporting and statutory disclosures
- Supporting group reporting and audit processes
- Acting as the UK tax lead on entity changes and structural activity
- Ensuring all UK tax filings, elections and obligations are completed accurately and on time
This role requires someone who is comfortable owning the detail, working closely with advisors, and getting involved in complex group structures where required.
Key Requirements
- Strong UK corporate tax compliance experience
- Experience working within group / multi-entity environments
- Ability to review, challenge and engage with tax computations in detail
- Experience managing external advisors and audit processes
- Desirable: Exposure to legal entity simplification or group restructuring
- Understanding of UK tax implications of intra-group transactions (e.g. SSE, reorganisations, value shifting)
- Some international tax exposure
Profile
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Background in a large multinational organisation
- A combination of Big 4 and in-house experience is beneficial
- Detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
