Are you a senior tax leader with deep experience in group tax reporting from an FTSE background? Have you led or supported large-scale tax transformation programmes? Do you have a Big 4 background?
You’ll be stepping into a high-impact interim role within a complex, global organisation undergoing a major end-to-end finance transformation. This is a senior mandate where you will both deliver and challenge – improving how tax reporting operates at a global level while supporting a wider transformation agenda. This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, matrix environment, takes ownership, and is comfortable working with ambiguity. You’ll need to balance technical accuracy with pragmatism, ensuring reporting is robust without slowing down the business.
The opportunity
You will play a key role in reshaping how global tax reporting is structured and delivered. As finance activity is centralised into centres of excellence, this role ensures tax reporting evolves accordingly – maintaining data integrity while improving efficiency and speed. You will work closely with senior tax, finance, and controllership stakeholders, with strong visibility and influence across the organisation.
The role
- Lead and support the transformation of global tax reporting processes
- Redesign how data flows from local markets into group reporting
- Improve the speed and efficiency of the tax close process
- Partner with finance and controllership teams to align reporting timelines
- Challenge existing processes and introduce more effective ways of working
- Support wider transformation initiatives across tax and finance as required
- Act as a senior point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners
What you’ll need
- Significant experience in group tax reporting within a large, complex organisation
- Strong understanding of tax reporting processes, controls, and consolidation
- Proven experience supporting or leading transformation or change programmes
- Ability to operate at Director level, influencing senior stakeholders
- Background combining practice and in-house experience is highly desirable
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance precision and materiality
Nice to have
- Experience working within centralised or shared service operating models
- Exposure to large-scale finance transformation or outsourcing programmes
- Background in FTSE-listed or similarly complex international organisations
- Experience working with external partners or offshore delivery models
What you can expect
- A visible, high-impact role with real ownership
- Exposure to senior finance and tax leadership
- A fast-moving, outcome-focused environment
- Flexibility through a hybrid working model
If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely influence how tax reporting is delivered – not just maintain it – this offers the scope and complexity to do exactly that. No sponsorship or relocation offered.
