Talentedge are actively recruiting for an ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified or finalist Senior Management Accountant to join an exciting sports media business based in Central London. The role offers a salary up to £53k plus study support. It is a hybrid role (2 days per week in the office).
Duties include:
- Produce monthly management accounts for the BUs the role is responsible for in a timely basis, including business partnering with budget holders.
- Variance analysis of monthly actuals vs budget/forecast and preparing commentary for the management pack.
- Monthly balance sheet analysis and reconciliations.
- Review and understand contracts for both revenues and costs and budget/account accordingly.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for the BUs responsible.
- Provide CFO/FC and the BUs with financial analysis as required.
- Business partner with the BUs and be their key Finance point of contact for day-to-day queries.
- Co-ordinate with Sales Ledger Manager to review debtor positions and ensure cashflows from Digital Services revenues are collected on a timely basis.
- Ensure record keeping meets standards of auditors, HMRC and due diligence.
- Audit preparation and oversee audit visit.
- Develop and improve the existing accounting system and processes as necessary.
- Ad hoc travel to other sites.
- Other ad hoc duties within the department as required.
Candidates must be:
- Actively studying towards ACCA or a CIMA qualification.
- Experienced in managing a P&L, querying variances and preparing management accounts.
- Comfortable in reviewing and understanding commercial elements of contractual arrangements, and to budget/account accordingly.
- Highly organised, with good time management skills and a commercial mindset.
- Strong control and reconciliation skills.
- At a high level of Excel competence and experience (e.g. V-Lookup, pivot tables and IF function).
