We are looking for extra hands on deck in the form of a Senior Hardware Engineer to help with some business critical HW releases. This is a hands-on, high-impact 3-month contract focused on supporting the final development and launch of new products. You won’t be owning a full product area; instead, you’ll act as a highly capable “force multiplier” across the team, picking up well-defined technical problems and driving them through to completion.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Validate and debug hardware circuits across late-stage product development
  • Support hardware–firmware integration and feature bring-up
  • Investigate and resolve issues discovered during testing and manufacturing
  • Collaborate with OS/firmware teams to unblock system-level challenges
  • Assist with compliance and certification-related engineering tasks
  • Work with external manufacturing partners to close out final issues pre-production

You’ll be given clearly scoped problems and the autonomy to run with them.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong fundamentals in electronics and hardware design
  • Proven experience in hands-on hardware development, validation, and debugging
  • Comfortable working independently and owning technical tasks end-to-end
  • Experience collaborating across hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams
  • Practical lab skills (e.g. scopes, power supplies, soldering, bring-up/debug)

Nice to have:

  • Consumer electronics experience
  • Audio, wireless, or power system exposure
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers

How they work:

  • Remote-first, but the HW team meet in London roughly twice a month
  • Flexible, pragmatic, and focused on outcomes
  • A team of experienced engineers who trust each other to get things done
  • They'll make sure you have the equipment you need to do your best work.

This is a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy hands-on engineering over process and meetings
  • Like solving real problems in the final stretch before launch
  • Want to make a meaningful impact in a short space of time
  • Prefer autonomy and ownership over rigid structure

The details:

  • Salary: ~ÂŁ70,000 pro rata (3-month FTC)
  • Start date: June 2026 (flexible for the right person)
  • Duration: 3 months (fixed term)
