This multiple-award winning TV & Film Group boasts an impressive range of titles and has a worldwide reputation for delivering successful, cutting-edge and high-quality content. They are now recruiting for a technically strong Group Financial Controller. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the UK and group finance function. You will manage and develop the team with the main focus on management and financial reporting as well as FP&A and some ad-hoc project and analysis work.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Review monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns
- Coordination of statutory group accounting, audit and managing auditors and liaising with tax advisors as required
- Preparing monthly group cash flow reporting for the bank, including quarterly bank loan covenant testing
- Manage financial IT systems, reviewing finance assistant postings as necessary and liaising with IT/Operational teams
- Preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecast
- Develop and maintain internal controls procedures, aiming to continuously streamline and improve financial operations and systems
- Ad-hoc project and analysis work as directed by the CFO and C-Suite
- Lead and develop the UK/Group Finance team/function
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experienced FC with a proven background in managing a group/divisional finance function
- Technically strong with good knowledge of external reporting
- Excellent IT skills and always looking to improve processes
- Commercially astute and able to quickly establish credibility with non-financial stakeholders
- Experienced team leader who always gets the best out of their team
- A self-starter who can work autonomously and manage multiple projects and deadlines all at once
- Thrives in a fast-paced but relaxed and creative environment
