Weโre working with a growing Salesforce-focused organisation seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst to support the delivery of complex, high-impact Salesforce programmes.
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology โ translating business needs into clear, scalable Salesforce solutions that improve processes, enable automation, and support long-term organisational change.
Youโll work closely with clients, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle, from discovery through to go-live and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Discovery
- Elicit and analyse business requirements using a variety of techniques including workshops, focus groups, observation, prototyping, and interviews
- Lead discovery sessions to uncover true business needs and underlying pain points
- Translate business objectives into clear, structured functional requirements
Process & Data Mapping
- Create โas-isโ and โto-beโ process maps to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Develop logical data models to define business requirements
- Collaborate with technical architects to support physical data model design and scalable implementation
Documentation
- Produce high-quality documentation across the project lifecycle, including:
- Stakeholder analysis
- Current and future state analysis
- Gap analysis
- Acceptance criteria
- UAT plans and supporting documentation
- Clearly document the โwhyโ behind requirements to support long-term usability and adoption
User Stories & Agile Delivery
- Write clear, outcome-driven user stories following Agile best practices
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and development validation
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure requirements are feasible, scalable, and aligned with Salesforce best practice
Automation & Solution Design
- Identify opportunities for automation and custom functionality
- Assess when declarative Salesforce solutions are appropriate versus code-based approaches
- Contribute to solution design with a focus on efficiency, maintainability, and reduced technical debt
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior and executive leadership
- Clearly communicate options, constraints, and trade-offs
- Confidently manage expectations and provide constructive challenge where required
- Identify, document, and escalate risks and issues appropriately
- Support pre-sales activities including early discovery and requirement validation
Salesforce Platform & Technology Landscape
- Maintain a strong understanding of the wider Salesforce ecosystem (clouds, managed packages, integrations)
- Recommend platform enhancements and new features to drive adoption and value
- Promote Salesforce best practice and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
Business Analysis & Delivery
- Proven experience leading discovery workshops and solution design sessions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance business needs with technical feasibility
Tools (Experience Beneficial)
- Miro, Lucidchart, Smartsheets
- Salesforce DevOps tools such as Gearset or Copado
- Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration and platform capabilities
