A fast-growing, tech-enabled outsource firm is looking to hire a Tax Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of high-growth, VC-backed clients. This business has built a modern, differentiated model, combining strong client service with automation, data, and commercial thinking. Backed by an AI-native platform, they are designed to remove low-value work and allow finance professionals to focus on high-impact advisory.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the tax offering as the business scales.
The Role
This is a broad, commercially focused position with ownership from day one. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to founders and finance teams in scaling technology businesses. Key areas include:
- Transfer pricing advisory and implementation
- EMI schemes, valuations and ERS compliance
- EIS/SEIS filings and advance assurance
- VAT advisory (UK and cross-border)
- Ad hoc tax projects (restructuring, remuneration, corporate tax)
- Review of corporation tax returns and technical input
- Producing high-quality written advice and client deliverables
- Leading client conversations and simplifying complex tax issues
- Identifying process improvements, automation opportunities and efficiencies
Requirements
- Professional qualification (ATT / CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ experience in UK practice
- Strong exposure to areas such as transfer pricing, share schemes, EIS/SEIS, VAT and corporate tax
- Experience managing your own portfolio and multiple deadlines
- Confidence working directly with founders and senior stakeholders
- Strong technical capability (legislation, HMRC guidance, report writing)
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote setup
