Transactional Finance Manager - Retail (6-Month FTC)
Location: Central London
Hybrid: 3 days in office
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transactional Finance Manager to join a fast-growing, international retail brand on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will play a key part in managing the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring the accuracy of monthly and yearly accounts.
The Role:Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead a team of three and be responsible for:
- Managing the transactional finance team, overseeing AP & AR functions.
- Developing and providing monthly reporting on expenses, aged receivables, and overdue payables.
- Supporting cash flow forecasting, focusing on actual cash flows and projected outflows.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and strengthening financial controls.
- Assisting with the implementation of an ERP upgrade (Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong experience managing a team within a transactional finance function.
- Expertise in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Confident handling large datasets and multiple cost centers.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a proactive approach.
- A self-motivated communicator with a curious and analytical mindset.
- Multi-site experience (retail, hospitality, or similar preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
- Audit background or experience is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Accounting qualifications preferred but not essential.
