We have partnered with a growing specialist financial advice firm to hire a highly organised and proactive Head of Operations to support a period of operational improvement and technology-enabled growth. This role is suited to someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, managing multiple initiatives, and balancing strategic coordination with hands‐on delivery. Alongside IT transformation projects, the successful candidate will also support senior leadership with day‐to‐day operational management.
Working closely with leadership and external partners, the role will focus on improving operational efficiency, scalability, reporting, workflows, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Improvement & Process Optimisation
- Review existing operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and automation
- Support the design and implementation of improved operational workflows across the business
- Help establish clear governance, documentation, and reporting structures
- Promote operational consistency and accountability across teams
- Ensure smooth day‐to‐day operational delivery and oversight
- Coordinate delivery of operational and technology improvement initiatives
- Act as the central operational contact across multiple concurrent projects
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to manage timelines, priorities, and implementation activity
- Support testing, rollout, user adoption, and embedding of new systems and processes
- Project & Delivery Management
- Maintain oversight of ongoing operational and transformation initiatives
- Create and manage project plans, delivery trackers, timelines, and status reporting
- Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, driving proactive resolution
- Ensure effective communication between operational, technical, and leadership stakeholders
- Reporting & Business Operations
- Support the development of operational KPIs and management reporting
- Improve visibility of operational performance and delivery metrics
- Assist with planning, prioritisation, and resource coordination activities
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work collaboratively across leadership, operations, advisers, compliance teams, and external suppliers
- Support operational change initiatives and encourage adoption of improved ways of working
- Build strong working relationships and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams
