TalentEdge are searching for an experienced Financial Controller with a background in retail/consumer to join one of the UK's fastest growing businesses. This is a hugely exciting opportunity overseeing the international accounting activity with the support of a brilliant wider team and reporting into the Head of Finance.
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified and have a strong understanding of UK and international tax laws. You will thrive in a fast‑paced environment and possess a strong analytical mindset to support the business financial strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
- Line management of direct reports
- Overseeing the audit process
- Ensuring full compliance with reporting standards, financial regulations, and statutory law
- Overseeing cashflow, debt and debt collection management
- Accurately record all transactions, ensuring all are filed and reported
- Supporting on financial strategy and execution
- Continuous streamlining of all operations and accounting systems to maximise efficiency
- Inventory/stock management
- Accurate annual/monthly reporting
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA Qualified
- Strong understanding of best practice Accounting & Finance
- Confident ability to demonstrate practical knowledge of management accounting principles
- Proficient in using accounting packages and financial systems
- Strong understanding of UK and international tax laws
- In-depth knowledge of financial forecasting and budgeting
