A globally recognised, market-leading media organisation with an extensive international footprint and a portfolio of premium brands is seeking a Financial Accountant to support its UK finance operations on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible and central role, working closely with senior stakeholders and international teams on large-scale financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead statutory reporting and group consolidations
- Partner with Finance and wider stakeholders to provide insight, challenge and decision support
- Drive the external audit process, ensuring a smooth and well-managed year-end delivery
- Deliver monthly reporting and variance analysis to support performance and strategic decision making
- Support month-end close, reconciliations and core reporting cycles in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including systems and process improvements
- Ensure accuracy, integrity and compliance across reporting, controls and tax support activities
- Provide ad hoc analysis and commercial insight to support business needs
About You
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with 3+ years post-qualified experience
- Background in practice or industry with strong exposure to financial statements and audits (Big 4 desirable)
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented and intellectually curious
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage across multiple stakeholders
- Able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
