Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. This varied position combines bookkeeping responsibilities, royalty administration, publishing systems management, and finance support, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Bookkeeping & Financial Operations Perform weekly bank reconciliations Manage weekly payment runs Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Assist with month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, and stock reconciliations Assist with management accounts preparation and ad hoc reporting Upload and validate monthly sales data Track and report on sub-rights agreements and related financial activity Work closely with editorial, rights, and production teams to maintain accurate data Identify and resolve discrepancies across finance and publishing systems Previous experience within a bookkeeping, finance assistant, or accounts support role Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience within publishing, media, or a creative industry Knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software Exposure to multi-currency accounting and international operations Our client is a well-established and growing organisation within the publishing sector, known for its collaborative culture, high-quality output, and commitment to innovation.
