This role sits at the center of the firm's most important commercial and investment decisions. You will be at the frontline strategically and commercially where your analysis can directly impact the direction of the company. You will also be given seniority working as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Product, Technology, Marketing and Commercial teams. This role is not for someone that wants to spend the next decade producing pitch-decks or sitting in back-office finance. However, if your ambition is to become a senior finance leader who understands how strategy is executed inside a scaling business, this role accelerates that learning curve significantly. Reporting into the CFO, you will play a critical role in shaping capital allocation, prioritizing growth initiatives, and evaluating strategic opportunities as the business enters its next phase of expansion.
Responsibilities
- Lead capital allocation and investment appraisal across core growth initiatives
- Own quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and contribute to the long-term (5-year) strategic plan
- Deliver high-quality financial analysis, including ROI, cost-benefit, and scenario modelling to support decision-making
- Evaluate strategic initiatives and potential M&A opportunities through robust, decision-ready financial modelling
- Monitor capital deployment and performance, identifying where to accelerate, optimize, or pivot investment
- Act as a trusted commercial partner and credible challenger to senior stakeholders across the business
- Ensure strong financial governance, risk management, and control standards
What You’ll Bring
Background
- Experience in Investment Banking, Strategy Consulting, or high-growth Commercial / Strategic Finance
- Big 4 experience is advantageous but not essential
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders in demanding, high expectation environments
