A large, internationally operating business is looking to appoint a Finance Lead to oversee financial reporting and control across multiple entities. This is a senior role within a well-established finance structure, offering responsibility for regional reporting, team leadership, and continuous improvement across processes and systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial integrity while partnering with stakeholders across the business.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of financial control and reporting across several international entities. The position combines technical accounting oversight, team management, and involvement in key projects, including system and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Monitor financial performance, including profitability, working capital, and key metrics
  • Identify and manage financial risks, issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Oversee general ledger activities and ensure strong financial controls are maintained
  • Manage and develop a regional finance team, including both direct and indirect reports
  • Ensure all statutory reporting, tax filings, and compliance requirements are met
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors, advisors, and regulatory matters
  • Support cashflow forecasting and wider financial planning activities

Projects & Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and optimisation of finance systems and tools
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and internal controls
  • Promote best practices in financial governance across the wider business
  • Partner with non-finance teams to improve understanding of financial processes and controls

Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Significant post-qualification experience in industry
  • Strong technical accounting background, including experience with multiple reporting standards
  • Experience operating within a multi-entity, international environment
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams
  • Comfortable working in complex, matrixed organisations
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Confident using financial systems and advanced Excel
  • Exposure to system implementations or finance transformation projects
  • Experience working across different jurisdictions and regulatory environments
  • Additional language skills
  • Familiarity with ERP and consolidation systems
