The Opportunity
Join a fast‑scaling, tech‑led outsourced finance team as a Finance Manager where you’ll take full ownership of your client portfolio, act as their day‑to‑day finance partner, and lead the charge on process improvements, reporting excellence and commercial impact.
The role is fully remote across the UK, offering the freedom to work from anywhere while joining a modern, paperless, technology‑driven team.
The Role
You will serve as the primary point of contact for your clients, overseeing all monthly and annual reporting, reviewing outputs from outsourced bookkeeping teams, and ensuring timely, accurate financial delivery. This is a hands‑on but leadership‑focused role with real impact. Key responsibilities include:
- Full ownership of year‑end accounts, management reporting, and corporation tax preparation.
- Leading all client communications, acting as the trusted day‑to‑day finance partner.
- Reviewing and approving VAT returns, escalating complex matters where needed.
- Overseeing AP processes and outsourced bookkeeping teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Reviewing reconciliations and stepping in directly where required to maintain quality and deadlines.
- Monitoring time, scope, recoveries and portfolio profitability, and escalating issues early.
- Educating clients on best‑practice financial processes and improving workflows.
- Implementing and enhancing financial controls, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Championing technology, automation, and system integration to streamline delivery.
- Identifying opportunities for upsell and cross‑sell

About You
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or AAT qualified and studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- 3+ years\’ UK accounting practice experience, with strong month‑end and year‑end exposure.
- Confident with paperless accounting environments, cloud systems, and Xero.
- Strong communicator, able to build trust quickly and own client relationships end‑to‑end.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities remotely.
- Familiar with remote working.
- Passionate about improving processes, leveraging technology, and delivering high‑quality outputs.
