Reporting to the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance function across all areas. This role offers broad exposure to financial operations, strategic planning and decision‑making processes. As part of a small but high‑performing team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with different departments and contribute to their continued success.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis to support decision‑making.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in financial reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather financial data and provide support as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of year‑end financial statements and support external audits.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong academic background.
- Previous experience in either an outsourced environment with tech clients or within a fast‑growth tech organisation.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proactive and self‑motivated with a passion for learning and development.
