My client, a well-renowned studio based in the West End (not far from Bond Street Station), is seeking a highly analytical, hands-on, and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Analyst to support the growing finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves building analysis, problem-solving, and taking ownership in a fast-paced, creative environment.
What You'll Do
- Revenue & Margin Controls
- Perform monthly WIP revenue and margin reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and completeness
- Investigate margin variances and collaborate with operational teams to provide visibility on key drivers and trends
- Enhance processes and controls for revenue recognition and margin calculations
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly reporting on company metrics and project KPIs
- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable business insights
- Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support quarterly forecast cycles and annual budgeting
- Build scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform strategic decisions
- OPEX Business Partnering
- Deliver monthly OPEX variance analysis and manage day-to-day queries
- Build strong relationships with budget owners to drive cost efficiency and support forecasting
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years' experience in commercially focused finance roles
- Experience in a fast-growing or SME environment
- Experience with financial KPI and metric reporting
- Proactive, hands-on approach with ability to work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail with a curious, analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
- Experience with process improvement or automation projects
- Knowledge of ERP systems
