Talentedge are looking for a well-experienced Manual QA Engineer to help deliver exceptional quality across a range of our clients' IoT products. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys exploratory testing, uncovering edge cases, and working closely with engineers to ensure products are reliable, intuitive, and enjoyable to use, but is equally comfortable communicating with and guiding a small QA team.
What you'll be getting up to:
- Conduct manual testing across multiple platforms.
- Design and execute test scenarios that validate real-world customer experiences.
- Identify, prioritise, and investigate defects, partnering closely with developers to drive resolutions.
- Create clear test plans, test cases, and quality reports with strong traceability to requirements.
- Contribute to product design discussions, ensuring quality and testability are considered from the outset.
- Help shape QA strategy, processes, and best practices across the engineering team.
What we're looking for:
- Strong commercial experience in Manual Testing.
- Strong commercial experience in IoT / Firmware (this is a must).
- Proven ability to investigate complex issues and communicate findings clearly.
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, risk-based testing, and quality assurance principles.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, RFID/NFC, MQTT or similar protocols.
