We’re partnering with a fast-growing international consultancy and advisory business operating within the media and marketing space to appoint a Head of Finance into a newly created and highly visible role. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position will play a critical role in modernising the finance function, with the headline project being the end-to-end implementation of Paprika across the UK operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance Systems Implementation & Transformation
    • Lead the full lifecycle Paprika implementation for the UK business
    • Lead the wider finance system transition to ensure effective implementation across all geographies
    • Work closely with both Finance and non-Finance teams to deliver a successful implementation
    • Act as the key point of contact for post-implementation support across local Finance teams
    • Partner with the Finance Director to improve GL structures, reporting capabilities, and overall finance efficiencies
    • Work closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider operational stakeholders impacted by the implementation
    • Deliver broader finance transformation and process improvement projects across the function
  • Finance Process Review & Reporting
    • Alongside the system implementation, review and improve global finance processes to ensure consistency and streamlined reporting
    • Work closely with the Group Financial Controller to ensure alignment between system structures and regional/consolidated reporting requirements
    • Drive improvements across month-end processes, reconciliations, controls, and management reporting
    • Support and develop a junior finance team, including oversight of balance sheet review and clean-up work
  • Balance Sheet & Working Capital Management
    • Work with local Finance teams to implement a robust balance sheet review process
    • Identify key risks and opportunities across local balance sheets
    • Review working capital cycles and partner with local teams to design and implement effective cash management processes and controls

About You

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, or a strong QBE profile
  • Previous experience leading or playing a key role in finance systems implementations
  • Strong operational finance, controls, and process improvement background
  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced, growing business environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience within media, consultancy, marketing, professional services, or project-based environments would be advantageous
